sorry for the delay, I got to try it out only the last few
days and I have hit another issue

using the 1.4rc1_test4 CD, I can boot the system and partition
and setup the disk. then I realized that I don't know how to
go from there!

the current documentation (and release) uses the stages and
portage etc. (which I am somewhat familiar with from x86),
but the 1.4 CD that I have does not seem to have stage1,2,3
or even gcc/ emerge etc.

the documentation pointers above do not seem to address this
situation. it seems to be aimed at an already installed system
and how to upgrade from there

is there a "full" 1.4 iso that I can download ? the mirrors
I checked seem to have only this minimal boot CD

or 1.4 uses other methods from stages and the current approach ?

any help or pointers are much appreciated
