status of alpha port?

Is the Alpha architecture going to be included as a supported platform with
the upcoming 1.4 release? There haven't been any RC releases for a while and
the main Gentoo page only lists installation guides for x86,PPC,Sparc and
HPPA. 

I will be acquiring an Alphaserver 5300 in the next few weeks and I'd rather
use Gentoo than Redhat.
