You have to watch for packages that don't have tarballs, like kde-env which will break KDE if installed. I created a custom unmask file to solve the issue. But it would be better if there was a 4.5.90-specific unmask file to begin with. In the end, it's not a very big deal. Just a major annoyance :-)
