As a user, it may be good to explain what exactly Hurd is, the news page 
announcing it would be a nice place for that.  I've never heard of it 
and so far, still have no idea what it is?  Is this a new distro based 
on Gentoo, new package manager or something else?

If one can update the news article, I can read that and no need to reply 
here.  Plus, others like me will have a idea on this as well. I may not 
be the only one who hasn't heard of this new thing.
