If you mean the Wikipedia website, I rarely use it and even more rare 
that I go there for political info.  Actually, I rarely go there for 
anything really.  The info can be edited so easily that anyone can put 
about anything on it.  It does work for some things tho.

That said, I've never heard of Hurd despite it being worked on for 
decades as Wikipedia shows.  I doubt I'm the only one who hasn't heard 
of it and has any idea what it is or does.  If one wants people to test 
it or use it and report bugs and maybe even help fix code, first, they 
have to know what it is and then if it is available for use on their 
hardware.  I've been fairly busy since last reply but at this point, I 
don't know if Hurd will work on any of my machines or not.  It might 
tho.  I might even test it on one of my NAS server rigs or something if 
it will work.

Keep in mind, not everyone reads every single technology paper that 
comes out.  I'm informed about some good software sometimes that has 
been out for years but I've never heard of it until someone posts that I 
should try to use it because it is a better tool for my purpose.  This 
is the case with Hurd.  Never heard of it.  If it hadn't been posted to 
this list, I still would have never heard of it.  I may not have heard 
about it for another decade or more for that matter.

Just trying to help the people that want others to know and maybe try 
this new tool out.  I'm assuming that is the point of announcing it????
