I actually missed read the original suggestion as a new category group that
we can depend on ebuilds so I think my idea can be ignored.

I just saw this as an opportunity for a cleaner way for users, although
likely more useful for downstreams to manage custom configs changes.

I'll save this for a more relevant time which I haven't misread :)
