Could we not create a new gentoo-maint.git repository with a directory
structure mirroring that of gentoo.git? We would stick the maintenance
scripts for cat/pkg under cat/pkg and not have to teach our tools any
new tricks. Where there is no risk of confusion it would also let you
fudge package groups like meta/llvm; nothing is going to barf on the
unexpected name in a separate repo.
