Hi all, Sam recently asked whether this change on the wiki is actually correct: https://wiki.gentoo.org/index.php?diff=1443827&oldid=1422697 From the commit message, it seems that the contributor is assuming that the `font` eclass indicates that _all_ system-wide fonts should be installed in /usr/share/fonts/. But i can imagine that /usr/share/fonts/ might be for fonts managed by Gentoo / a distro, while /usr/local/share/fonts would be for 'site' fonts, i.e. fonts managed by the local sysadmin(s). fonts.conf(5) doesn't appear to say anything about this (even as a suggestion). Does Gentoo have a specific policy in this regard? If so, is it documented somewhere? Alexis.
