Traduction de "serial console"

Bonjour, 
je suis en train de traduire un document où il apparaît une référence au terme 
"serial console". Je l'ai traduit "console de série" mais je préfère 
m'assurer qu'il n'y a pas de meilleur traduction avant d'envoyer ma 
traduction.

Voici le contexte : 
If you start your machine with a monitor and a keyboard attached, you can
reach the multi-boot menu pressing the F1 key on startup. But if you start 
your
machine using the serial console, then you have to press <c>1</c>.
