I'd like to add a comment, concerning the last section : FAQ, that reveals some
problems people should find when they use those split ebuilds.
My mom uses KDE, she is not a geek person, neither a person aware of computing
or so. She just uses a computer to do some classic stuffs.
How would I tell those people who have never heard of bash script, eclasses,
implementation, bash functions... that to uninstall an old KDE, they have to
list all the ebuilds by hand (if they have more than 200 KDE related ebuilds
installed, it will be a lot of fun, surely).
One solution : have an emerge functionnality that ables the final user to
uninstall all ebuilds that belong to one SLOT.
I forward this notice to the author of this documentation, to have his opinion.
