MediaWiki can be configured to send email whenever a page or file on
your watchlist is changed.

[[Special:Preferences]] - "Email me when a page or file on my watchlist
is changed" funnily enough

You can also configure it to automatically:

[[Special:Preferences]] Watchlist - "Add pages and files I edit to my
watchlist"

You can also use RSS to read changes to your watchlist, but I find this
arbitrarily unreliable (at least on enwp).
