My whole point was that this is not needed and it closes up development
discussions from public view.  Why maintain 2 channels for the same
thing, especially as #gentoo-installer is not a support channel.  There
really is no reason for everyone to "have a voice" in the conversations.

Even in #gentoo-releng, if a user has something to contribute, they get
voice to contribute.  It's pretty simple, it keeps conversation on topic
(mostly), and it doesn't require setting up a new channel to hide in for
the developers.
