Important issues missed from monthly meeting

Seeing that only me and fordfrog turned up to the meeting :P  I would
like to summarize and discuss some of the issues that were planned.

1)  Potential Recruits:

Basically I am getting completely sick and tired of the good work that
Elvanor is doing and therefore strongly think that he should be offered
the carrot of temptation/corruption.

I am happy to be his Sith Lord, if non of the other devs that are up the
queue (Caster?, wltjr?, fordfrog) have the time required.

I would very much like to see this topic title changed to New Recruit

Does anyone have any concerns/issues they want to raise about this?

2) Eclipse-sdk progress. ( https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=150446 )

__Elvanor__ is making good headway on eclipse support, creating a new
eclass to help with the production of those Manifest property thingy's
that holds eclipse together. (I'm not sure whether they will stay a
separate eclass or not)

Eclipse is building (with system swt), running and has some plugins like
cvs support working.

Having a look at Help > Manage Configuration shows about 5 more issues
that should be worked thru. (On my system at least, dont know anything
about what effect they have on eclipse).

We should actually start looking at Elvanor's eclass (in java-exp) to
try get the functionality into the tree before eclipse-sdk is ready and
to confirm that it is actually a viable solution, ( Could conflicts
arise if we package any apps that are based on the eclipse framework??

3)  Webapps

Well we still need to discuss this.

4)  Meeting times

wltjr, mentioned something about changing the meeting times as it was
inconvenient to some developers/contributors.  I realize that I am
probably the most out of the way (timezone and geographically).  I am
therefore quite happy for the meeting times to change.  If there is real
interest in a change in time I will figure out exactly when I am
unavailable in UTC time, but basically as I have no way to use irc at
work I am unavailable Monday-Friday 7am - 5:30pm local time.


Hopefully I have made sense for most of this.
