CPU consumed by tomcat is always 100%

Hi,

I am running the below software on gentoo OS.

Sun JDK 1.5.0.12 [sun-jdk-1.5]
[I--] [M ] www-servers/tomcat-5.0.27-r6 (5)

The issue is that the CPU consumed by tomcat is always 100%.while using top
command

Kindly provide me the steps to debug the issue
