Trying to find iostat

I'm trying to find iostat in the portage tree.  No package has that
name, but does some package provide it with other stuff?

Emerge -s "iostat"  doesn't find anything.

I also tried:

qpkg -l /usr/portage | grep iostat    which seems to indicate that
nothing provides iostat.

Am I missing anything?  Is there an easier way to search through the
contents of the portage tree for applications that might be bundled into
a large package?
