re: first gateway box

well now that i have all that out of the way
anyone know of a good HOWTO for setting up a gateway?
i would imagine that there's more too just pluggin in the cables and setting
things up so tht my internal boxes can see the gateway and the gateway can
see the world.  do i need some sort of routing software?  or is an iptables
firewall running nat good enough?
