Installing to a computer with a non-bootable CD-ROM drive

  I'm planning to install Gentoo Linux to a slightly older computer. Just in 
case it matters it has the follwing hardware:
150 Mhz Pentium, 128 Mb RAM, Diamond Viper V330 (with NVidia Riva 128 chip), 
AD1815 Sound card, Realtek network adapter, a floppy drive, a 52x CD-rom 
drive, Western Digital Caviar 13 Gb hard drive (for Gentoo) and Quantum 
Bigfoot 4 Gb drive (for DOS).

  The problem is that the motherboard is so old that it doesn't support 
booting from the CD-ROM drive. What I'd like to know is whether it's possible 
to make a boot floppy which could be used to boot the Gentoo Linux 
Installation CD. And obviously, if it is possible, how to do it.
  I am aware of the possibility to do a netboot installation, but I'd much 
prefer to do it by using a boot disk, if that's possible.
