tmpfs where's it supposed to go?

i thought i installed my system right, and when i typed "df -h" the machine
told me i had three mounted partitions:

filesystem  size  used  avail  use  mounted on
/dev/hda3   1.4g  747m   627m  55%  /
tmpfs       1.0m  116k   908k  12% /mnt/.init.d
/dev/hdb1    37g   33m    34g   1% /var/spool/mail

but then i went poking around in /etc/fstab and found this:

  # glibc 2.2 and above expects tmpfs to be mounted at /dev/shm...
  # ...
  # ...
  # ...
  # ...

# tmpfs  /dev/shm  tmpfs  defaults  0 0

so i thought "uncomment that tmpfs line... 'cause that /mnt/.init.d doesn't
look right"...  and so i rebooted my machine and now "df -h" gives me this:

filesystem  size  used  avail  use  mounted on
/dev/hda3   1.4g  747m   627m  55%  /
tmpfs       1.0m  116k   908k  12% /mnt/.init.d
/dev/hdb1    37g   33m    34g   1% /var/spool/mail
tmpfs        23m     0    22m   0% /dev/shm

so now i have two tmpfs's...  which one is right?  if the bottom one is
right, how do i get rid of the top one?  and where's my swap?
