1.4RC1 & PCMCIA

Hi All, 
 
I'm trying to get 1.4RC1 installed, but I cannot load the 
pcmcia_core module, as described in the install guide. Since 
my network card is PCMCIA, this seems to me to be a bit of a 
showstopper. Am I missing something? (besides a PCMCIA 
module) Is there a way I can fix this?
