Well, I mounted the iso image, and ran find -iname pcmc* and 
all that comes up is 
 
/etc/pcmcia 
and some empty module directory.  
 
No loadable modules on the iso cd. No loadable modules in any 
of the other stage tarballs. no pcmcia support in 1.4RC1, as 
far as I can tell. 
 
Also, during boot, qparray or somesuch tries to load, Oopses, 
and remains in (initialising) stage in lsmod. Can't be good 
at all.
