Removing Gnome- Another question

I am aware of this command, but I want to know if there is a way I can find 
all of  the packages that are installed if I did a 'emerge gnome' on a 
barebone system. 

to further complicate things...

My drive is 100% filled. I cannot unmerge anything, as I get a IOError (errno 
28] No space left of device.

What should I do????
