After that, I checked whether emerge would see that cups was already compiled from source on my system (Didn't off course :-/ ) Apparently the gentoo-cups-ebuild says it's version 1.1.15_R2 (although cups.org only has a r1-build???). But the bright side is that the cups-ebuild didn't complain anymore on cupslib (or was it libcups??? damn, I really need STRONG coffee it seems!!!!) -- Take care!
