remove loading of modules from boot.

Hi my gentoo 1.2 box is still trying to load lm_sensors modules at bootup. I 
removed the lm_sensors package and the modules are not there to load. 
I have looked in /etc/mudules.autoload and they are not loading from there.
what file is trying to load them and how can i stop it from loading?
