Read this link here. http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,4703659 It shows how to initialize iptables in Gentoo. The included iptables script should be adequate for what you want to do. Just make the changes as indicated. In addition to these instructions, you also have to setup your kernel options for iptables.
