It tries to create these: .qt_plugins_3.0rc.lock qt_plugins_3.0rc I have no idea why the QT designers want it in /root -- but I strongly feel that is incorrect. My understanding is that when I log in as root I should be at the "/" directory. Is this not correct? Also, as root shouldn't I have basic permissions over everything?
