Well, it is just an error in "emerge update grub". It is rather "emerge --update grub". Sorry for that. FI, "emerge update grub" will try to emerge both "update" and "grub" and it seems that there is no "update" package in portage tree... I think you should have a look to portage guide. There is a lot a things to know that you will have to use a day or another. -ec -----Original Message----- From: parisdreams1 [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, October 15, 2002 10:05 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [gentoo-newbies] Shutdown issue How do I unmask grub-0.92? I changed package.mask to ">=grub-0.93". When I tried "emerge update grub" I got something like "No modules/packages can be found." ----- Original Message ----- From: "Cheminot, Eric" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]>; <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, October 15, 2002 9:34 AM Subject: RE: [gentoo-newbies] Shutdown issue > I think this is a known bug with grub 0.90 (I assume you are using it, since > it is the default).
