boot from cd

I have burned both the livecd-basic and livecd-ut2003.  I put one in the
cdrom drive, and it doesn't boot (it goes on to the normal winxp boot
with each cd).  The cdrom is only a couple months old (nor was it cheap
(do they even make non-bootable cdrom drives anymore?)) so, I don't
THINK that's the problem.  I've booted from windows cd's in the past
(the only difference was the cdrom, but I haven't tried with my current
cdrom drive.  I'll try that tomorrow).  Thanks for the help.
