program recomendations

Hello again,

    I'm in search of two programs for my gentoo box, and wanted all of your opinions.  I would like to intstall an ftp and telnet program (at least I think that's what they're called, I'm looking for ones with ssh capability).  Can anyone recomend anything like this for gnome?  Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thanks!
