I'm installing 1.4rc1, it's a stage one install.=20
Upon reboot, startup stops with:
=20
=20
             "INIT: version 2.84 booting
=20
              Gentoo Linux; http://www.gentoo.org

               7G [ ok ]g devfsd...
               7G[ oops ]g tmpfs at /mnt/.init.d...

               * The "mount" command failed with error:

=20
               * Since this is a critical task, startup cannot continue.
=20
              Give root passwd.... "
=20
I told it to continue with a normal boot, it rebooted.
=20
Now when it reboots I see the message:
=20
"Kernel panic: No init found. Try passing init=3D option =
to kernel."
=20
Any obvious, or not so obvious, helpful hints?
=20
Thanks.
