openafs alive?

    Hi, all!
I have a question about openafs support in gentoo 1.4.
    I have emerged openafs but receive a message that my kernel built 
without openafs support. I use kernel 2.4.19.10_pre6 from lolo-sources, 
and in make menuconfig failed to find something about openafs. There are 
options about Coda filesystem, but not openafs.
    I have emerged kernel gentoo-sources and also have not found where 
to config openafs options in it.
    May be openafs support is dropped from gentoo linux kernels and I 
should use some another network filesystem?
