Hi Jani-Matti! Same error here. I've got no clue why it happens. My version of Portage (output of "emerge --version"): Portage 2.0.43 (default-1.0, gcc-2.95.3, glibc-2.2.5-r2,2.2.5-r7) My USE flags (in "/etc/make.conf"): USE="-3dnow -apm -arts gnome ldap postgres gd lcms alsa tiff perl acl samba trusted zeo" My compile flags (in "/etc/make.conf" as well): # Pentium Pro/Pentium II/Pentium III+/Pentium 4/Athlon exclusive (binaries # will use the P6 instruction set and only run on P6+ systems) CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-march=i686 -O3 -pipe" CXXFLAGS="-march=i686 -O3 -pipe" (I'm using these flags for a Pentium II 300 MHz). Any info will be greatly appreciated! Greetings, Holger
