diet-libc as default libc

Hello list,

I'm pondering the idea of recompiling a gentoo system based on diet-libc
for performance and space reasons, and it occurred to me that it would
be very cool to be able to choose which libc you want your system
based on:

        - glibc
        - diet-libc
        - uClibc
        - any others?

So, is this possible?  I know there would probably be glitches along
the way, since diet-libc's dynamic library support is only experimental
at this point, but having emerge help me build a system like this
would be very useful.
