If you're looking for another ibook, I'd recommend the G3 900. 
Everything works,
airport, sleep, modem, DRI (3D accel), etc.  Besides G3 vs G4 doesn't make that
much of a difference in Linux, and in fact, some optimizations aren't
stable on G4,
but they are on G3.  You can even get dual monitor working I think
(this might be
a bit tricky though.)
