Adding disclaimer to outgoing emails : alterMIME, or...?

The pieces are falling into place, now one final touch : Most howto's I found use alterMIME to add disclaimer to outgoing messages. Is it the only game in town? And if not, what other packages can give me the same functionality? TIA Rgds,
