The ebuild may get updated - there's one dev I know who is working on this
right now, as a matter of fact.

ext3. :)

I have not been impressed with reiserfs, especially when it comes to random
data corruption problems.  I know that statement will elicit 20,000 "I've
used ReiserFS on eleventy billion machines with umpteen terabytes of data
and I've never had a problem!!!"  Fine, but I have, so I use ext3. :P
