In the infrastructures doc, they used the vendor-supplied install methods, depending on what was available (i.e., the sun tools mentioned already, AIX stuff, RH kickstart, etc).  So it seems for our purposes, we'd need to develop/adapt/modify something to meet our requirements.

Also, they kept ending up back at NIS (every time they evaluated/tried another auth mechanism).  I think the use of LDAP in the stage 4 CD concept points in the right direction here; couldn't most of this stuff be accommodated via LDAP?  Certainly the auth/directory stuff in the basic infrastructure design could be done with LDAP nowadays (replacing NIS).  I think this would also allow more fine-grained control over their "virtual machine".

So are the only docs so far in the wiki thing?  We might want to think about something a little more formal, like a set of official version-controlled docs, i.e., requirements, goals, design ideas, howto guides, etc.
