This is exactly the kind of feedback I was hoping for :)

Now it may not end up being this exact layout, but I think this
concept maps directly to the infrastructures.org Gold server
concept, ie, CVS to do CM on all the config files, etc, and NFS to
serve up the shared portage and other stuff.

I still haven't been able to devote much time or thought to this
stuff (life intervenes) but it's probably time to start documenting
these ideas, at least informally.

The wiki type stuff is great for brainstorming (although I haven't
looked recently; has anyone started this yet?) but eventually it
should be in a more polished/controlled state.

antifa's been playing with zope/plone a little, and this is a good
example of what I mean, at least in terms of the document workflow
and publishing foundation of CMF (and thus, plone as well).  This
includes builtin version-control and distributed document management
stuff.  Unless anyone has another system up and running?

With enough server horsepower, perhaps we could try the CVW document
server and collaboration stuff.  I've always wanted to try that...

It looks like the dev side of CVW went inactive for a while (lots of
interested users though) with some recent interest in updating the
java VM, etc.  Anybody else ever looked at this?
