The US wouldn't oppose that.  That's the official statement, but  facts tell a  different story. Just  like  they officially oppose partitioning Libya, but the US/UN  backed Misrata based  gov't intends to do just that. Kill  OPEC, trade deals and contracts negotiated with puppets, typical  neoliberal 'free  market'  economies, cheap  labor and resources reliance on  western arms/security purchases for those different states it'll all pay off.
