Subject: [Linux-PowerEdge] Question about fan speed settings on PowerEdge R720xd

All:
Is it possible to change the fan speeds without bringing down the machine?
I have noticed that one of our machines has fan speeds in the 4-5,000 rpm range when all of the others are running between 16-17,000 rpm, and the heat probes indicate a temperature difference as well.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Becky
