Significant difference in the temperature of two Seagate hard drive models

While obtaining the hard drive temperature on a set of Dell R720 (using
smartctl), I noticed a significant difference between Seagate models.

For example (these are not one-off cases):

    Seagate ST3600057SS - 47º Celsius (117º Fahrenheit)
    Seagate ST300MM0006 - 31º Celsius (88º Fahrenheit)

Taken into account the drives are in the same server, in identical
hot-pluggable bays, what could explain this huge temperature difference?

Tiago
