The more important question is if that particular daughter card is appropriate for the server(s) you have. There are daughter cards for the blades (as Stefan pointed out) and others for the 1U and 2U servers. If you have pizza-box servers, the daughter card has to match that server (e.g., a C63DV that goes into an R620/R720). For a blade infrastructure, not only does the daughter card need to supported on the blades you have, but the backplane and IO modules need to match too. I have had no issues getting these cards (Intel or the Broadcom version) to work properly with CentOS 6. --- Cris [email protected] / (507) 284-0587 There's a chance that we may be given some older hardware and will be adding a 10Gb/s board to them. The one that currently seems to be the choice is "Dell Intel 82599 dual Port 10GbE Daughter Card" I'm wondering if anyone has any sage advice or warnings for those of us not as well versed in the hardware about this unit being used with CentOS6.
