                It's a nice shell script to uninstall existing OMSA installations and proceed with newly available ones in an automated way.

                Since DLR is deprecated, even though DSU repository can co-exist, it is preferred to remove the DLR repository config (/etc/yum.repos.d/ dell-omsa-repository.repo) and the installed rpms before moving to DSU.  The wget.. bootstrap.cgi command is setting up the repository configuration and currently we don't have an automated way to remove this.

                Before moving to DSU:

1.       stop the OMSA service if running
a.    srvadmin-services.sh stop

2.       Uninstall old OMSA rpms

3.       Uninstall dell_ft_install

4.       Remove /etc/yum.repos.d/dell-omsa-repository.repo

The DSU repository contains all its dependent rpms. You are correct in setting the repo (wget..) and invoking DSU for updating devices to latest available versions.



The OMSA rpm repository co-exists with DUP rpms in DSU (ex: check out OMSA meta rpms http://linux.dell.com/repo/hardware/DSU_15.11.00/os_dependent/RHEL6_64/metaRPMS/). The good part is, we can directly use yum commands to install/uninstall OMSA and the same OMSA yum commands used in DLR works here also.



The "yum install srvadmin-all" is normally suggested since it installs all the OMSA components. But you can also use other meta-rpms like srvadmin-base, srvadmin-storageservices, etc



Currently OMSA team suggests script based installation and DSU dev team is working with them to make the OMSA installation procedure easy with DSU.
