Daan,
As far as I know there aren’t any immediate plans to make OM 8.x available for Ubuntu.
I am glad to know the OMSA Docker container<https://hub.docker.com/r/jdelaros1/openmanage/> worked for you. I’ll take a look at the Nagios plugin you mentioned and let you know how to make this work with the OMSA container.

Subject: [Linux-PowerEdge] updating on Ubuntu 14.04
Hi,
We currently have srvadmin-all version 7.4.0 installed on Ubuntu 14.04. I wanted to update this to 8.x, but the only version provided through apt is 7.4.0.
In my apt config I have the following line:
deb http://linux.dell.com/repo/community/ubuntu trusty openmanage
apt-cache policy srvadmin-all gives:
srvadmin-all:
Installed: 7.4.0
Candidate: 7.4.0
Version table:
*** 7.4.0 0
500 http://linux.dell.com/repo/community/ubuntu/ trusty/openmanage amd64 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
And yes, I did perform apt-get update.
Any ideas how to resolve this?
The docker container works, but I'm not sure how I can use that with the Nagios plugin check_openmanage.
Best regards,
Daan de Wit
