Hi everyone,
I work with Dell servers and have a common issue on some of them. I'm using
ipmitool to handle the iDrac 7 modules and recently, I receive this message:
$ ipmitool -I lanplus -U root -P *** -H *** bmc info
Error in open session response message : insufficient resources for session
Error: Unable to establish IPMI v2 / RMCP+ session
while on the others (exact same hardware and software configuration):
$ ipmitool -I lanplus -U root -P *** -H *** bmc info
Device ID : 32
Device Revision : 1
Firmware Revision : 1.35
IPMI Version : 2.0
Manufacturer ID : 674
Manufacturer Name : DELL Inc
Product ID : 256 (0x0100)
Product Name : Unknown (0x100)
Device Available : yes
Provides Device SDRs : yes
Additional Device Support :
Sensor Device
SDR Repository Device
SEL Device
FRU Inventory Device
IPMB Event Receiver
Bridge
Chassis Device
Aux Firmware Rev Info :
0x00
0x07
0x23
0x00
I still have access to the web interface, reseted iDrac, but I always get the
same error.
I can't easily install racadm (depends on libssl 0.9) and couldn't find the
correct file to upgrade the firmware on Dell download pages.
Any one already had this issue ?
Maurice
