No, that would be too logical 😺 I tried that and it seems that the device responds to an unsolicited read with " 9.9E + 37". (which according to the manual means  OFLO - Measured value (invalid)) ( to do a measurement you are required to send a *TRG) On more careful examination, the first byte read by "onebyte.c" is 'R' of the IDN string 'ROHDE&SCHWARZ,NRVD, 101654.002,V1.52 V1.40'. I guess the device dumps the rest of the string after the first read. After than I read the first byte of ' 9.9E + 37'.
