right. It will also only use as much real disk as it needs -- for
instance, I've told this Windows install that it has a 2GB disk:

Using VMWare can also make you think a little harder about security.
This is an NTFS file system, but a line like this:
[jack@chupacabra jack]$ strings vmware/win2000/win2000.dsk | grep -i -C
5 coates

reveals quite a bit of information about what I've been doing with
Windows lately :-)
