Slightly OT: The PCG-GRV550 - upgrading RAM

According to Sony it's not possible to upgrade it beyond the 512MB that's in
it.  But I thought I had heard of people who have pulled this off.

Does anyone know if it's possible to upgrade the RAM on the GRV550 to 1GB?
