Hi,

I've a Z505JE that dual boots Win98 and Red Hat. I want to stick with
the current partitioning but switch to Debian. First, though, I'm just
trying to back up the various data on the drive in case things all go
wrong.

I'm puzzled over the location of the suspend-to-disk partition. I'm
sure it's there but don't think it's listed in the partition table. I
currently have

    # sfdisk -l -uS -x

    Disk /dev/hda: 1099 cylinders, 255 heads, 63 sectors/track
Units = sectors of 512 bytes, counting from 0

Device Boot Start End #sectors Id System
    /dev/hda1 * 63 4610654 4610592 b Win95 FAT32
    /dev/hda2 4610655 8707229 4096575 83 Linux
    /dev/hda3 8707230 8835749 128520 83 Linux
    /dev/hda4 8835750 17655434 8819685 5 Extended

    /dev/hda5 8835813 9237374 401562 82 Linux swap
        - 9237375 17655434 8418060 5 Extended
        - 8835750 8835749 0 0 Empty
        - 8835750 8835749 0 0 Empty

    /dev/hda6 9237438 17655434 8417997 83 Linux
        - 9237375 9237374 0 0 Empty
        - 9237375 9237374 0 0 Empty
        - 9237375 9237374 0 0 Empty

Am I on the right track?

Cheers,

Ralph.
