Battery problems

For a while now I've been struggling with a battery that does not last 
more than 10 min, is there anywhere on the web that I can download a 
reconditioning program (I know IBM have one for their stuff). Or are we 
back to support for sony is c***.

I'm using a Fx401 if this helps.
