cool, there's a new ACPI patch (my ISDN modem fried itself, so i was
out of touch for a bit).  that worked great, so i now have a working
sonypi module.

unfortunately, it doesn't solve the larger problem of getting the A/V
out port to work - still digging on that one.  the initial searches i
did showed others in the same boat but i didn't see an immediate
solution (although atitvout looks interesting).  have others managed
to get the A/V out port to work under linux?
